EduActive is the Institute's education arm. It hosts the Textbook Group, courses, ontology work, the Active Inference Journal, audio-visual production, seasonal school, and related learning initiatives. EduActive projects connect Active Inference to learning infrastructure, pedagogy, and public educational resources.
What EduActive Does
EduActive provides the educational infrastructure for the Institute and Ecosystem. Its projects develop and maintain courses, textbooks, ontologies, journals, audio-visual resources, and learning groups. EduActive makes Active Inference accessible across disciplines and experience levels by creating structured, reusable, and openly licensed educational artifacts.
Institute Projects
EduActive hosts Institute-operated educational projects with sustained maintenance, regular outputs, and defined participation pathways. These include the Textbook Group, Active Inference Ontology, Active Inference Journal, Educational Course Development, Audio-Visual Production, Applied Active Inference Symposium, Seasonal School, Physics Course, Active Inference for Social Sciences, and the Video Improvement project.
Ecosystem Projects
EduActive supports Ecosystem projects aligned with education, learning, and public knowledge. These include Action Research on Collective Foraging, the Active Inference Cycle Book, MathArt Conversations, Neurodivergent Learning Sessions, Numinia, Froebel's System, and others.
Participate in EduActive
EduActive projects welcome learners, developers, writers, instructors, artists, and organizers at all stages. Join a Textbook Group cohort, contribute to ontology work, help produce audio-visual content, or join an ecosystem education project. No prior expertise is required.
