The Seasonal School is an Institute educational program providing intensive, structured, and in-depth engagement with Active Inference theory, modeling, and applications. It has run multiple cohorts and developed a track record as a concentrated learning experience for participants from varied backgrounds.
The Seasonal School delivers concentrated Active Inference education through structured sessions over days or weeks. It combines lectures, workshops, modeling practice, and discussion — creating a learning environment that accelerates understanding for participants at multiple levels of prior background.
The Seasonal School has run several cohorts, each producing recordings and resources for the broader community. Past recordings are accessible through the Institute's video channels.
The Institute is planning a five-day, in-person edition — Active Inference Summer School: Foundations and Applications — organized by Daniel Friedman and Luca Possati. The Institute is seeking co-organizers, a hosting venue, sponsors, and session presenters to help bring the program to life.
