Psychoanalytic researchers, neuroscientists, and theoreticians interested in formal bridges between psychoanalysis and Active Inference.

The Einstein Model of a Solid as a Model of the Mental Apparatus

Bridging psychoanalytic theory and Active Inference through the economic perspective of psychoanalytic theory.

Lead: Theodoros Aliferis

This project is archived. It is no longer active, and any participation prompts below describe how it previously operated.

This Ecosystem project develops a formal bridge between the Einstein model of a solid and the mental apparatus, viewed through the economic perspective of psychoanalytic theory. It applies Active Inference to bridge psychoanalytic concepts with modern neuroscience and artificial intelligence.

Overview

The project develops theoretical connections between classical psychoanalytic models of the mind and the Active Inference framework, using the Einstein model as a structural analogy. The work bridges the economic (energy-based) perspective in psychoanalysis with the free energy formalism.

Participate

Psychoanalytic researchers, neuroscientists, and formally-oriented theoreticians are welcome.
