Il Symposium sull'Inferenza Attiva Applicata è un evento online annuale che riunisce la comunità globale di Active Inference. Si tiene da cinque edizioni dal 2021 al 2025 e la sesta edizione avrà luogo dal 12 al 14 novembre 2026. Ogni edizione presenta presentazioni di ricerca, tavole rotonde, workshop e sessioni collaborative che spaziano dalla neuroscienza computazionale all'IA, alla robotica, all'ecologia, all'economia, alla salute, all'istruzione e ad altri settori, con registrazioni complete e verbali pubblicati apertamente successivamente.
Informazioni sul Simposio
The Applied Active Inference Symposium is the Institute's flagship annual event. It brings together researchers, educators, practitioners, and community members who are applying Active Inference across scientific and practical domains.
Every edition features talks, panels, workshops, and community sessions, and the keynote address and panel have featured Karl Friston since the inaugural gathering. The Symposium is online with no financial barrier to participation, and full recordings are made publicly available on the Institute YouTube channel after each edition.
Primo Simposio (2021)

Secondo Simposio (2022): Robotica
Il secondo simposio del 2022 ha avuto come tema la robotica ed è durato su due intervalli il 31 luglio (alle 16:00 e 04:00 UTC) per raggiungere la comunità globale. 3° Simposio (2023): Creare Ecosistemi di Intelligenza Condivisa
Il 3° Simposio sull’Inferenza Attiva Applicata, a tema “Enacting Ecosystems of Shared Intelligence”, ha esplorato come l'intelligenza condivisa venga messa in atto tra agenti, comunità e istituzioni. Il programma è disponibile tramite l'archivio del Simposio e entrambi gli intervalli sono registrati sul canale YouTube dell’InstituteOS.
Quarto Simposio (2024)
Il quarto Simposio sull'Inferenza Attiva applicata nel 2024 ha continuato la tradizione di presentazioni, pannelli e sessioni pratiche. Il programma è disponibile tramite l'archivio del simposio e le sessioni sono registrate in tre parti su YouTube.
5° Simposio (2025)
Il quinto Simposio sull'Inferenza Attiva applicata nel 2025 ha riunito la comunità per un altro ciclo di sessioni di ricerca applicata, strumenti e formazione. Il programma è disponibile tramite l'archivio del Simposio e le sessioni sono registrate in tre parti su YouTube.
Sesto Simposio (2026)
We are now preparing the 6th Applied Active Inference Symposium, to be held online on 12-14 November 2026. As with previous editions, the keynote address and panel will feature Karl Friston, and the program explores the applications and frontiers of Active Inference.
The Symposium is online with no financial barrier to participation, and abstracts of presentations are published in collaboration with the Active Inference Journal. All current information is gathered on the Symposium hub.
Chiamata per Presentazioni e Workshop
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit presentations and workshops for the 6th Symposium, aligned with four themes: mission-critical applications of Active Inference across domains; open science and tool development; learning and education; and Active Inference at Play — hands-on, multimodal, and exploratory formats beyond text. Submissions may be pre-recorded video presentations, livestream panel or discussion slots, or workshops, tutorials, and hackathons with open-source materials.
The presenter submission deadline is 31 October 2026, ahead of the 12-14 November Symposium dates. Please share the invitation widely.
