O Simpósio de Inferência Ativa Aplicada é um evento online anual que reúne a comunidade global de Inferência Ativa. Ele tem ocorrido cinco vezes de 2021 a 2025 e o 6º Simpósio acontecerá em 12-14 de novembro de 2026. Cada edição apresenta apresentações de pesquisa, painéis, workshops e sessões colaborativas abrangendo neurociência computacional, IA, robótica, ecologia, economia, saúde, educação e outros domínios, com gravações completas e atas publicadas abertamente posteriormente.
Sobre o Simpósio
The Applied Active Inference Symposium is the Institute's flagship annual event. It brings together researchers, educators, practitioners, and community members who are applying Active Inference across scientific and practical domains.
Every edition features talks, panels, workshops, and community sessions, and the keynote address and panel have featured Karl Friston since the inaugural gathering. The Symposium is online with no financial barrier to participation, and full recordings are made publicly available on the Institute YouTube channel after each edition.
1º Simpósio (2021)
O primeiro Simpósio de Inferência Ativa Aplicada foi realizado em 2021 com uma palestra principal do Dr. Karl Friston. As transcrições das atividades e as sessões gravadas estão arquivadas abertamente no Zenodo e no canal YouTube do InstituteOS.
2º Simpósio (2022): Robótica
O segundo simpósio de 2022 teve como tema a Robótica e decorreu em dois intervalos às 31 de Julho (16:00 e 04:00 UTC) para alcançar a comunidade global. As atas da sessão estão arquivadas no Zenodo, o programa está disponível através do arquivo do simpósio e ambos os intervalos foram gravados no YouTube.
3º Simpósio (2023): Ensaio de Ecossistemas de Inteligência Compartilhada
O 3º Simpósio de Inferência Ativa Aplicada, com o tema “Enactment de Ecossistemas de Inteligência Compartilhada”, explorou como a inteligência compartilhada é enacted em agentes, comunidades e instituições. O programa está disponível através do arquivo do simpósio e ambos os intervalos estão gravados no canal YouTube do Institute.
4º Simpósio (2024)
O 4º Simpósio de Inferência Ativa Aplicada em 2024 continuou a tradição de palestras, painéis e sessões práticas aplicadas. O programa está disponível através do arquivo do simpósio e as sessões estão gravadas em três partes no YouTube.
5º Simpósio (2025)
O 5º Simpósio de Inferência Ativa Aplicada em 2025 reuniu a comunidade para mais uma rodada de sessões de pesquisa aplicada, ferramentas e educação. O programa está disponível através do arquivo do simpósio e as sessões estão gravadas em três partes no YouTube.
6º Simpósio (2026)
We are now preparing the 6th Applied Active Inference Symposium, to be held online on 12-14 November 2026. As with previous editions, the keynote address and panel will feature Karl Friston, and the program explores the applications and frontiers of Active Inference.
The Symposium is online with no financial barrier to participation, and abstracts of presentations are published in collaboration with the Active Inference Journal. All current information is gathered on the Symposium hub.
Chamada de Apresentações e Workshops
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit presentations and workshops for the 6th Symposium, aligned with four themes: mission-critical applications of Active Inference across domains; open science and tool development; learning and education; and Active Inference at Play — hands-on, multimodal, and exploratory formats beyond text. Submissions may be pre-recorded video presentations, livestream panel or discussion slots, or workshops, tutorials, and hackathons with open-source materials.
The presenter submission deadline is 31 October 2026, ahead of the 12-14 November Symposium dates. Please share the invitation widely.
