El Simposio de Inferencia Activa Aplicada es un evento en línea anual que reúne a la comunidad global de Inferencia Activa. Ha tenido lugar cinco veces entre 2021 y 2025, y el 6º Simposio tendrá lugar del 12 al 14 de noviembre de 2026. Cada edición presenta presentaciones de investigación, paneles, talleres y sesiones colaborativas que abarcan la neurociencia computacional, la IA, la robótica, la ecología, la economía, la salud, la educación y otros campos, con grabaciones completas y actas publicadas abiertamente posteriormente.
Sobre el Simposio
The Applied Active Inference Symposium is the Institute's flagship annual event. It brings together researchers, educators, practitioners, and community members who are applying Active Inference across scientific and practical domains.
Every edition features talks, panels, workshops, and community sessions, and the keynote address and panel have featured Karl Friston since the inaugural gathering. The Symposium is online with no financial barrier to participation, and full recordings are made publicly available on the Institute YouTube channel after each edition.
Primer Simposio (2021)

Segundo Simposio (2022): Robótica
El segundo Simposio de 2022 tuvo como tema la Robótica y se llevó a cabo en dos intervalos el 31 de julio (16:00 y 04:00 UTC) para llegar a la comunidad global. 3er Simposio (2023): Construyendo Ecosistemas de Inteligencia Compartida
El 3er Simposio de Inferencia Activa Aplicada, con el tema "Enacting Ecosystems of Shared Intelligence", exploró cómo se enuncia la inteligencia compartida a través de agentes, comunidades y organizaciones. 5to Simposio (2025)
El 5º Simposio de Inferencia Activa Aplicada en 2025 reunió a la comunidad para otra ronda de sesiones de investigación aplicada, herramientas y educación. El programa está disponible a través del archivo del Simposio y las sesiones están grabadas en tres partes en YouTube.
6º Simposio (2026)
We are now preparing the 6th Applied Active Inference Symposium, to be held online on 12-14 November 2026. As with previous editions, the keynote address and panel will feature Karl Friston, and the program explores the applications and frontiers of Active Inference.
The Symposium is online with no financial barrier to participation, and abstracts of presentations are published in collaboration with the Active Inference Journal. All current information is gathered on the Symposium hub.
Llamada de Presentaciones y Talleres
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit presentations and workshops for the 6th Symposium, aligned with four themes: mission-critical applications of Active Inference across domains; open science and tool development; learning and education; and Active Inference at Play — hands-on, multimodal, and exploratory formats beyond text. Submissions may be pre-recorded video presentations, livestream panel or discussion slots, or workshops, tutorials, and hackathons with open-source materials.
The presenter submission deadline is 31 October 2026, ahead of the 12-14 November Symposium dates. Please share the invitation widely.
