The Year So Far

Through August 2026: two of four Quarterly Roundtables have livestreamed (March 27 and June 26), seven monthly newsletters have been published (January through July, plus the August issue in preparation), the call for presenters is open for the 6th Applied Active Inference Symposium (November 12–13, 2026), and the year opened with Institute Structure clarification alongside the new Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board. InstituteOS — the Institute's open operating system — continues to grow across its registries and public repositories.

January

Institute Programs and Activities begin for the year, and Institute Structure is clarified. Work continues with the Board of Directors and the Scientific Advisory Board, connected to Strategy and Ecosystem Development. The January newsletter is published.

February

The February newsletter is published, covering the month's Institute and Ecosystem activity, with weekly updates continuing through the month.

March

March 27 — 2026 Quarterly Roundtable #1, livestreamed with quarterly expectations and results. The March newsletter is also published, and the Weekly Update program issues public announcements.

April

The April newsletter is published, and project sessions continue across the research, learning, and open-source catalogs.

May

The May newsletter is published. Learning sessions and open participation meetings continue on their weekly rhythm.

June

June 26 — 2026 Quarterly Roundtable #2, livestreamed with quarterly expectations and results. The June newsletter is also published.

July

The July newsletter is published. The Applied Active Inference Symposium page carries the year's flagship event planning; the call for presenters opens for November.

August

Summer period: open participation meetings and learning groups continue, project work proceeds toward the Symposium cycle, and the August newsletter is in preparation. The Institute's open-source catalog — including InstituteOS itself — is updated continuously.
