동반자가 요구하는 것

Research Fellow 역할은 시작할 때 인스티튜트와 함께 정의되는 보고서 주기와 제출물에 대한 요구 사항을 제외하고는 무급이고, 인스티튜트에 종업원이 아님을 의미합니다. 기본 기간은 두 년이며, 가능하다면 연장될 수 있습니다.

입력요구 사항

nA 연구 fellow 지원 패키지는 지원자가 Fellows 프로그램 조항을 읽고 동의했는지 확인된 서류와, 한에서 여섯 페이지까지 (참조 제외) 작성한 연구 제안서(추상 300자 이내, 연구 질문과 목표, 의미, 접근법, 인stitut의 임무에 대한 일치성, 예상 결과 및 일정), 현재 CV, 최대 세 개의 추천서, 그리고 최대 다섯 가지 표준 출판물 또는 제품이 포함됩니다. 완료된 패키지와 질문은 연구 fellow [RESEARCH FELLOWS] 제목에 RESEARCH FELLOWS가 있는 메일로 blanket@activeinference.institute에게 보내됩니다.

출력 및 공개 기록

fellows의 작업이 더广泛的 커뮤니티에게 찾을 수, 인용할 수, 재사용할 수 있도록 지원하는 fellowship 출력물이 있습니다. 논문, 소프트웨어 저장소, 교육 코스 자료, 오 ontology 기여, 데이터 세트, 프로젝트 문서 등이 모두 fellowship 출력물에 포함됩니다.

Sheila Macrine	Research Fellow	11/2025	Multi-dimensional taxonomy of agency	0000-0002-8600-0938	Extends the framework from the forthcoming book 'Embodied Intelligence: Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Natural, Artificial, and Hybrid Systems' (MIT Press, 2026). Proposes a multi-dimensional taxonomy of agency formalizing nine qualitative dimensions — intentionality, autonomy, reflexivity, and others — as tunable Active Inference parameters, distinguishing agency (the driver) from intelligence (the engine).
Shagor Rahman	Research Fellow	8/2025	Myth of Objectivity	0009-0004-0460-0078	Investigates how morality and symbolic thought co-evolved (the Myth of Objectivity Hypothesis): the capacity to model shared cultural expectations enabled humans to transcend individual perspectives. Uses multi-agent active inference simulations and transcendental model selection, and offers a perspective on AI and AGI alignment.
Robert Worden	Research Fellow	10/2024	Wave Hypothesis	0000-0001-7304-2752	Two main research interests: 3-D spatial cognition, proposing wave-based rather than pure neural-firing models of consciousness in the thalamus and insect central body; and language, covering its evolution, learning, and brain mechanisms.
Jean-François Cloutier	Research Fellow	5/2024	Symbolic Cognitive Robotics	0009-0001-1841-2279	I seek to find out what it takes, at a minimum, for a robot to learn, on its own, how to survive in a world it knows initially almost nothing about. Continuation of a project of many years programming simple autonomous robots to develop and ground understanding of cognition. Drawn into Active Inference, Kantian epistemology, map vs territory, biosemiotics, mortal computing, collective intelligence, autopoiesis and constraint closure.
John Boik	Research Fellow	5/2024	Cognitive Narrative Ecosystem (CogNarr)	0000-0003-1289-7997	Continuation of work described in a book and two series of concept papers exploring science-driven de novo development of new cognitive architectures fit for purpose. First series: new societal (economic and governance) systems as components of a society's cognitive architecture. Second series: an online ecosystem facilitating cognition in the large-group setting.
