The Institute is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Delaware, USA. Governance is exercised through a Board of Directors supported by Officers for operations and a Scientific Advisory Board for scholarly guidance. This structure ensures that the Institute's direction reflects both sound governance and scientific integrity. Core governance documents, such as the Bylaws, are publicly available; the Institute also maintains a broader internal policy and process library that supports day-to-day operations.

Members

The Institute is a Delaware nonprofit corporation, and Delaware nonprofit corporations have formal corporate Members — a governance layer distinct from the Board of Directors. Members hold the voting rights reserved to them under the Institute's bylaws, including approving Board of Directors elections and approving amendments to the bylaws. There are three Members: Virginia Bleu Knight, Daniel Friedman, and Karl J. Friston.

The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) provides scientific and scholarly guidance to the Institute. SAB members are experts in Active Inference, computational neuroscience, cognitive science, and related fields. The SAB advises on research directions, educational content, project selection, and the scientific quality of Institute outputs. SAB members may serve as Facilitators for research projects and learning groups. Unités organisationnelles

Les programmes de l'Institut transforment l'intérêt en participation par le biais du bénévolat, des stages, du mentorat, des bourses, des partenariats, de la philanthropie, des subventions et des voies open-source. Tous les programmes sont ouverts à des personnes de tout milieu et niveau de familiarité.

EduActive est le bras éducatif de l'Institut. Il héberge le Groupe Manuels Scolaires, des cours, le travail sur l'ontologie, le Journal d'Inférence Active, la production audio-visuelle, l'École Saisonnière et les initiatives d'apprentissage connexes. Les projets EduActive relient l'Inférence Active à l'infrastructure pédagogique et aux ressources éducatives publiques.

Des chercheurs, modéliseurs, ingénieurs et contributeurs construisant des logiciels, outils et connaissances scientifiques basés sur l'inférence active. Unité de «ReInference

ReInference est le bras de recherche et développement de l'Institut, accueillant des projets logiciels, des travaux théoriques, du modélisé appliqué, de l'analyse géospatiale, de l'ingénierie des connaissances et de la recherche interdisciplinaire sous le cadre de l'Inférence Active. Les projets ReInference vont d'outils open-source largement utilisés à des initiatives de recherche spécialisées.
