Un stage est un parcours de contribution structuré - travailler sur des projets réels de l'Institut, développer des compétences et établir des relations avec des chercheurs et éducateurs dans le domaine de l'Inférence Active.
Qu'est-ce que les stagiaires font ?
Interns work on defined deliverables within Institute projects — documentation, analysis, code, educational materials, research summaries, operational support, or media production. The scope of each internship depends on the project and the intern's background, but every internship includes a concrete contribution that results in something publicly useful.
Interns participate in project meetings, receive guidance from project leads and mentors, and share progress with the broader community.

Internships are designed to be accessible regardless of prior experience with Active Inference. Learning is built into the process — interns are expected to develop their understanding through contribution, not to arrive with complete knowledge.
What matters is a willingness to engage, communicate clearly about progress and obstacles, and follow through on commitments.

If you are new to the Institute, starting as a volunteer and moving toward an internship is the most natural path.
Mentorat et soutien
Les stagiaires sont connectés avec des mentors de la communauté de l'Institut — chercheurs, éducateurs ou contributeurs expérimentés — qui leur offrent des conseils, révisent leurs travaux et soutiennent leur développement professionnel. Le mentorat peut être formel ou informel, mais les stagiaires ne travaillent jamais sans point de contact capable de les aider à naviguer dans le projet.
Avantages de la complétion
Les stagiaires qui terminent leur mandat reçoivent une attestation et un certificat de fin d'études précisant la durée et l'orientation de leur stage. La réussite du stage est également prise en compte pour les futures offres d'emploi rémunérées au sein de l'Institut, et les stagiaires peuvent demander à leur tuteur ou responsable de projet une lettre de recommandation, sous réserve d'examen.
Après votre stage
Internships often lead to continued participation as a volunteer, fellow, or project lead. Many interns have gone on to become core contributors to Institute projects, authors of public educational materials, or members of the scientific community.
The skills and relationships built during an internship are lasting benefits of the program.
